Andrew started singing with his father and siblings in church, in Fresno, CA. He was home-schooled through high-school graduation in 2004. He competed in church music competition attaining national level recognition for songwriting, human video and solo vocal performance.

Andrew T. Geist was born January, 31 1986, in Sacramento. A descendant of German, polish and welsh immigrants. He is the oldest of five; he grew up surrounded by music, via his father and family. While most of the music he was exposed to was contemporary pop Christian and Southern gospel all shaped his future interests in all kinds of music.

He attended and graduated from Fresno Pacific University in May 2010, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music with an emphasis in music composition. He performed in Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, while also singing in Vocal Performance Workshop singing roles from Music Man, RENT, Ahmal and the Night Visitor’s. He concluded his vocal career at FPU with Fiddler on the Roof singing the role of the Russian Tenor.

In 2014, Andrew graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Master’s in Music Composition. While studying he served as worship pastor of The Way Fellowship church in Buena Park, CA from 2011-2015. He also met his lovely wife Elena in 2012 and has been married to her since January 2013.

While living in Burbank, CA from 2013-2015 he attempted to pursue a career in commercial music. After a few years and hearing God’s call on his heart to serve in worship, he put his commercial music pursuits behind him and focused on following God’s will for his life. This resulted in him returning back to his home town Fresno, CA and in the fall of 2016 began working for Northwest Church as the choir and orchestra ministry director.

In November 2019, Andrew and his wife welcomed their first born son Frederik Wallace Geist.

In 2021, Andrew was officially promoted to Executive Pastor of Worship for all of Northwest church.

In July of 2022, Andrew and his wife welcomed their youngest daughter, Evelyn Naomi Geist.

In 2022, Andrew was transitioned out of Northwest Church and took a position that moved him and his family to Houston, TX. On December 1st he began working as worship director/pastor for Current – A Christian Church in Katy, TX.

Andrew now resides in Houston, TX with his wife and son Frederik and daughter Evelyn. His heart is for his God and his church and seeing people come to know Jesus in a deeper relationship through worship.
