Andrew Thomas Geist - M.M. Began his music career in church. He competed for three consecutive years at Assembly of God regional competitions. He would advance to national competition in vocal performance, songwriting and dramatic video performance. In 2003, Andrew was privileged to be apart of full-length feature "Stained Memories" assisting with production and additional music contributions. It was truly worthwhile experience on his part and was a major contributor to his future pursuits. Andrew graduated in 2010 from Fresno Pacific University; with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition & Performance. He performed vocally and composed in the following genres: classical, top-40, contemporary christian, choral, show tunes and jazz. He continued his musical education at Azusa Pacific University graduating in July 2014 with a Masters in Music Composition; focusing on vocal, choral, classical, commercial, film, television composition and arranging. As a vocal performer at Fresno Pacific University; Andrew appeared in Fiddler on the Roof as the Russian Tenor. Later, he appear in a christmas production of Amahl and the Night Visitor singing the role of King Kaspar. He has vocal performance experience in show tune and performing roles from RENT, Music Man and many more. Andrew has been composing since he was eight years old. His compositional and performance influences are neo-romantic, and in most of his compositions he maintains a high degree of counterpoint and non-traditional harmonies that push the boundaries of the styles he writes for. Andrew's composing combines reality and imaginative experiences and following in the compositional styles of Beethoven, Chopin, Ralph Von Williams, Aaron Copeland and John Williams. To paraphrase Beethoven, “There are and will always be a thousand composers; but there is only one Andrew T. Geist.” He was was blessed to marry his wife Elena Geist in January 2012 and currently resides in Burbank, CA. Currently Andrew T. Geist is the worship pastor at The Way Fellowship church. Coordinating worship music for the Sunday services, and working with the children's ministries in the designing and development of teaching material for Wednesday nights. He has recently completed the direction of a christmas musical in 2015 with the children's ministry.
